So I went to school today, and when I came home, guess what was waiting for me.........

My sweetest boy went to surprise me with a bouquet of flowers sent specially to my place!! My dad was the one who received it from the courier and he purposely placed it on top of the piano so I wouldn't see it 'cuz it was hidden beside the hugeass vase when I first stepped into my home. It's so freaking huge, definitely the biggest bouquet of flowers I've ever received before! It's like the size of my upper torso?? And I'm not skinny to begin with. Hehe!

And the best thing of all is that he remembered that my favourite type of roses are the purple ones!!

Even the wrapping is like super chio.

Aww, he's the sweetest boy ever, really! Can't wait to give him a hugeass hug when I see him tonight ^^

The past week has been the most awesome week of all, because the boy had one week of MC and he was out since last Tuesday night so we basically spent every single moment together in the midst of my school and work. He sent me to school on Wednesday and Thursday and waited all the way there till my lessons ended before sending me back again. And on the first day of CNY we visited each of our grandparents' houses. Simply put, I couldn't ask for a better week :')

I think there has got to be an ending to this story, a story that started more than 3 years ago. I should have let you go when you chose to leave more than a month ago, but I didn't cuz I held on to the naive believe that you'll be back. I stayed, I waited. And today, I'm telling myself that it's time to move on, to bury the skeletons left behind in my closet, and to move on to whatever the future holds for me.

I want to thank you for the past 3 years worth of memories. Even though there were both good and bad ones, right now all I remember are the good ones. I remember how you were my pillar of support, the only one I could count on constantly when my whole world slowly changed around me. You were the one I turned to whenever I needed some one to be there for me, be it to complain, cry, share happiness with, everything, You were my whole world. I'll never forget how you would come over to stay just because I needed you to be there, even when we weren't together.

I remember how you brought me out to do anything I wanted to do, to go wherever I wanted to go, just cuz I wanted to. Thank you for never giving up on me, no mater how many times my bad temper got the better of me, or when I was so stressed up all I could do was cry. Simply put, thank you for allowing me to grow up under your care.

Honestly, I still love you, and maybe I always will. But it' s time for me to move on alone. I've got to stop hiding in your shadows and start facing life by myself. I need to stand up on my two feet and to let go of the past. You were the best I've ever had, and I hope you know that I never meant to hurt you in any way. I hope you'll be able to find better. I'll still be here for you if you need me to be, as a friend.

Maybe one day, you'll be able to forgive me. But 'till then, I'll stay out of your life, and I hope you'll be happy.

There's so much happening in my life right now, and I don't mean only school and work. I mean there's so many things in my mind, in my heart, and it's taking it's toll on me. I used to think that I could survive alone, that I never needed any one to survive. I know that I don't. But it's making me miserable at best. I wish I knew all the words to say, and the person to say them all to, to make me feel better. I've been carrying this weight around and it just gets heavier with every step I take. It was one mad long day for me 'cuz I reached school at 7.30am, went for project meeting till 1pm, then rushed down to work from 2pm-10pm before heading to Powerhouse till 3am and I only slept at 4.30am with school on Thursday.

Recess week's over and sad to say, I wasn't productive at all. I know I said that I would spend recess week studying and catching up on lectures/tutorials/everything but I didn't manage to do so. There's been so much on my mind that I have been unable to get rid off and honestly, I let myself go. I've never felt this out of control of my emotions before, or this tired. But it's all over now, and even though I would like nothing better than to air everything out here, I know it's not the right thing to do. The people around me know what's going on and that's all that matters.

From now on, I'm going to be a better person, I'm not going to procrastinate, and I'm going to try harder in life. I won't give up on any thing that I have right now, and I will not falter or fall anymore. I'm a strong girl because of all the shit I've been through and that's who I will be no matter what happens next. God will guide me through my darkest moments and He will never give up on me, or forsake me. And so, I won't give up on myself as well.

To you, thank you for making me see what I've had in my life all along. Maybe you will never know me as the better person I'm going to become, but know that my changes are because of you. Should you ever come back into my life, you'll see all that I've achieved, and I know you'll be proud of me. And 'till then, know that I've always loved you. (And maybe I always will.)

I've got so much going on in my life right now that I haven't taken a proper day off in almost 1.5 months. People spend their weekends catching up with friends or just slacking at home; I spend my weekends working and catching up with school work. My weekdays are spent in a mixture of work and school. I really need a breather soon.

Feeling so emotional over the littlest of things that should never affect me. But whatever, will keep reminding myself that "you may see me cry, but you will never see me fall."

You wna be mean then so be it, I will tolerate you once, twice, then forget it. If it gives you the satisfaction to be mean then good for you. I'm not some xiao mian yang that will just allow you to push me around and bully me. Eff you and your whole freaking family.

Am listening to Wednesday's Marketing recorded lecture 'cuz I gave Wednesday's lecture a miss. Had so much to do plus I had work in the afternoon so I might as well skip school since there are recorded lectures anyway. Thought I would have ample time to do my stuff but no. I ended up rushing here and there trying to do the bare essentials in the limited time I had. Smuggled into NY with my sis to print my pictures for the collage while my sis met her friend to study.

Rushed to work and omg I cannot imagine working from Friday-Sunday straight :( Feeling so cui plus I really have so much work to do and no time to complete them. Feeling the pressure of school really. So many people ask me not to work but I really like the additional monetary flexibility working gives me plus it forces me to use whatever spare time I have productively 'cuz I know I have so much to do so I can't procrastinate/slack during that time. People use their time to play, I use it to work. Really killing my social life but all my friends are busy as well so it's not like we have the time to meet up anyway.

Don't know why I'm bothering to blog but I guess I should stop neglecting my blog even though I don't have pictures to post up. Oh well! Bear with me 'till I'm more free kay, (which is like never.)

Ok hi.

So I received a random question on formspring asking me to blog about my uni life. Initially I didn't want to 'cuz to be honest, uni life can be simply summed up in 2 out of these 3 choices: Social life, Enough rest, Good grades. Well, I will definitely not say that I'm getting enough sleep, or getting good grades but out of these 3 choices, yes, I choose the loser 2. I'm sorry but when you're both working and studying at the same time, you don't have the luxury of having a social life, especially when you're in NBS.

Anyway, so how's school for me? Well, I'm adapting. It's been 8 months since I last used my brain so it's a challenge retuning my brain towards school work. And even though I would say that the modules I'm taking now is easier than that of Group A's, it's still tough 'cuz of the ambiguity of most of my modules. There isn't a clear answer like in JC. A lot of things can be right so long as you manage to substantiate why you feel that way, and if you have a low tolerance for ambiguity (LOL some OB theory!), you'll find it really hard to study for your modules.

To make matters worst, I'm flooded in tutorials, exercises, assignments, presentations and projects. Yes seriously. Uni is the worst of both JC and Poly added together. Like in JC, you have to mug really hard. And in Poly (correct me if I'm wrong 'cuz I'm just basing on my assumptions here), you have a lot of projects to do. Uni is both. You have to mug AND do projects. Which sucks. I hate doing projects. But I'll hang in there 'cuz it's only 3 years when the usual degree with honors takes 4 years? I WILL MAKE IT I SWEAR.

Ok I'll admit that Uni isn't all bad, there are some good points as well. Like the people I've met in Uni all seem awesome (so far LOL). And you totally get the privilege of eating in lectures/tutorials/seminars. AND you can choose not to go for lectures 'cuz there are recorded lectures anyway. Oh, and did I mention that there's a Mackidoodles in my school? Mackbreakkie whenever I have morning lessons! Hehehehe food makes me so happy right now in school 'cuz I hardly eat in school anyway. So whatever food I eat cheers me up instantly. I know, I know, I get happy over small stuffs but that's good right?

To be honest, I think that Uni really is training me to be more disciplined. I mean I'll admit that I'm a lazy person. If given a choice, I'll plan my roster to be as relaxed as possible. But with school and work, I am forced to be on the ball if not I'll lag behind in my assignments. I'm actually lagging behind to be honest but I'm trying to catch up as fast as possible (and me blogging now probably doesn't help anyway). So yups, I think this pretty much sums up my Uni life so far? Don't know what else to add on.

Oh hiya!

I know I have not be updating recently, blame school LOL. I sincerely cannot believe that I'm a university student now. Like really. I feel OLD. Y'know how you always view uni as the last step in your education life; and like to be in uni you've got to be super mature or something. Like you always know that you'll get there eventually but just not yet? Well, I'm freaking there. Really. CAN YOU FUCKING BELIEVE IT?

I can't even believe I survived JC, and now, I'm in uni. And I don't know how I'm going to survive being in uni. Oh, did I mention that I'm working part-time still? Some chiongster, I know.

Ok so anyway, here's a few random facts about my first week.

1. It takes 1.5h to reach school, one way.
2. 4 day school week, fuck yeah.
3. Cheryl's in all my tutorials/lectures/seminars!
4. NTU is like huge. No, like REALLY HUGEEEEEEE. And far. Like REALLY FAAAAAR.
5. Textbooks cost a bomb, and weigh as heavy as one too.
6. I understand nuts about OB.
7. Facial yesterday, extraction hurts like shit. Am glad to say I didn't cry like a baby this time. Barely even teared.
8. Work tomorrow. #fml

Okaaaaaay, too lazy to think up other stuff. But I kind of realized that these facts aren't even random. Hmm.

Am feeling so so drained from work now.
Just imagine, last week, I worked from Monday to Saturday and this week, I'm working Monday to Sunday. Which means out of 14 days, I'm working 13. Just imagine that.
Am feeling like a total workaholic but I'm going to tell myself that it's worth it for the money I'll get.
Kind of regret chionging work 'cuz every one I know is chilling out this month and totally getting some R&R before school starts and here I am working my ass off like some idiot.
And I'll only have like a 2 day break before school starts.
Omytian not looking forward to school, like 1.5h journey, ONE WAY, and I know no one at all :(
Worst fear: Being lost and having no one to call for help.

Decisions

Have you ever wondered about a particular decision which you have made? Like what if you chose the other option instead of the one you did.

Many times I've always wondered how different my life would be if I chose x instead of y. (x and y being random variables, not real options/choices.)

I mean there are a lot of things in life that I do not regret, even if I took the hard way out cuz I grew stronger and definitely, smarter from each and every experience I've been through and I'm glad that I survived every single obstacle life has thrown at me.

But then again, there are always times when I do wonder what would have happened if I chose the other way out.

There isn't any way for me to find out anyway, not like I can turn back the hands of time and restart living a particular period of time.

Owellz. Something that I'm thinking about while rotting at home on my off day.

It's been the best 35 months ever since you first stepped into my life and even though it was never all ups and happy smiles, you did make my life much better ever since you showed up.

I'll never forget the way we first talked, or the first time we met, all these are in our memories, (as well as in some archive in my blog).
I'm so proud of the both of us because we survived through your army years.
Every one claims that those 2 years are the hardest to get through, simply because your bf is never there for you, especially when he has to go overseas for his training and I will admit that those 2 years were tough on the both of us, but we pulled through.
Maybe it was those 2 years that actually cemented the friendship we shared, as well as built the foundation of our relationship because I can remember how flimsy our relationship used to be, any little temper tantrum could tear us both apart.
But now, I can safely say that no matter how angry I am with you over whatever you did, I still cannot bear to just leave you.
Some may call me stupid for sticking to you all these while, but I choose to think that I see the potential in you, that you can be a better person, even if every one else can't.
I know that you see the same in me as well.
We've been through countless ups and downs and I don't know what the future will bring, but I hope that despite whatever is to come, the one thing that will remain the same is that you'll always be by my side.

So I went out with the boy just yesterday cuz I had to get some stuff from Montip and Daiso.
Called the boy's phone AND house phone over 50 times for about 3 hours before he finally woke up. Amazing how much patience I had huh.
Headed to FEP for lunch at my all-time favourite place, Enjoy Thai Food. Y'all should go and have their Curry Chicken, or even their Green Curry Chicken, to die for.
Off to Vivo 'cuz I needed to go to get containers for my lens, brushes and make-up products from Daiso and we caught a movie as well.
Super 8 was a waste of time, and money. Don't bother watching it. Really.
Went to find Montip at Harbourfront Center but realized that they closed down, thanks for the prior warning Google.
Took the train down to Compass Point to Montip to get my hair clips and then to Best Denki to get my ear piece and borrowed books at the library!
Headed to the boy's place afterwards and totally slept till 11pm. No joke. I'm still madly jet-lagged and it doesn't help that I usually wake up at like 4/5am in the morning.

So the other day (in April - lol) I headed down to Powerhouse to celebrate 2 of my friends' birthday, Kailun and Jiayan.

Freaking stoned the whole night cuz we drank and drank.

Only got home about 5.30am? Latest time to date.

And then the next time I went down to Powerhouse was to celebrate my 19th.

I got so fucking wasted after drinking with everyone, AND two flaming lambos I couldn't even walk but I could dance perfectly fine on the podium. Awesome huh.

So we had breakfast at our hotel, Residence Inn by Mariott before heading off to Target to get some last minute groceries then off on our way to Yosemite!

Saw some more pretty houses on the way out of San Francisco.

I swear that all the houses here are really pretty. Like you will never see such pretty houses back in Singapore.
Not that these houses are terribly big and majestic but they are just so pretty, like the houses you only see in movies, but they are every where here.
And most of them are only about 1 story high? Maximum 2. In Singapore, all you see are HDB flats, (not begrudging HDBs of course) but just that HDBs don't tend to be that pretty and they block out the sky.

So off we go, driving out of San Francisco (SF) and onto the SF bay.

Omg the water and sky is so so pretty right!!
(I know the pictures aren't that clear cuz it was taking while the car was moving at high speeds but still you can tell that it is pretty.)
Left the bay and then we got out of SF and started driving through the state.

Stopped for lunch at Denny's and boy oh boy is the food there just AWESOME.

Like really.
TOTALLY SINFUL but still mad good!
It's like totally what you expect American food to taste like, cheesy, salty, hammy....... *drools*
I know I talked about Denny's on Twitter and I'll bet some of you are itching to see the pictures right!

Slept all the way to Yosemite or rather, El Portal, the town right outside the national park and took some photos when we reached.

That's the Merced river btw, you'll be seeing plenty of photos about the Merced cuz it's just so awesome and pretty flowing beside the road up to Yosemite and into the park.
Merced is the main river in Yosemite anyway.

Checked into the hotel, Yosemite View Lodge afterwards cuz it was getting pretty chilly at night.
The room was pretty big cuz they actually gave us a free upgrade to one of the suites they had.
Americans are really nice people.

Check out all the food we bought.

We bought food cuz the food here's apparently really expensive and not that great tasting (according to some of the reviews).
So then mum got started on cooking dinner.

Side note:
They had this pretty wreath hanging right beside the dinnre table and even though the plants were kind of dried and dead, it was still so pretty!

Anyway I had a bottle of frappachino!

IT'S SO FREAKING CHEAP HERE.
I can't remember the price but we got a whole carton of frappachinos and I had one almost every single day while I was here.
My sugar level must be mad high but I don't care, it's worth it!

So that pretty much sums up the day I spent travelling to Yosemite, the drive actually took about 3/4 hours not inclusive of all the toilet breaks and lunch all that but it took us almost the whole day, we set off pretty late anyway.
Am too lazy to blog up the Yosemite photos, will save that for another day cuz there's just too many of them and mum wants to use the lappy anyway.

USA trip (Part 1)

Ok so most of you know that I'm currently in the States now and I'll be here till the 6th of June, Sg time so I'm going to blog about the first two days I spent here since I won't get the chance to when I go to the national parks cuz there isn't wireless internet there.
Primitive huh.

Ok so I stayed up till 3am on Saturday (14 May) night cuz of last minute packing and to finish up the daily letters I wrote to the boy and had to wake up at 6am on Sunday (15 May) to do the packing of toothbrush and whatever I had to use in the morning before heading to the airport.
Reached the airport at about 7.30am and waited for my aunt and grandma to come before checking in our luggage all together.
Had Wang Cafe for breakfast cuz I was mad hungry and ordered Mee Siam!

Looks good huh!
So mum and I went inside to get a card reader cuz mine spoilt and I went to the lancome counter to take a peek.
PLEASE LORH walao no wonder everyone keep going to airport to buy and not to the counters. MAD CHEAP.
But of course the selection much smaller but the prices SO. MUCH. CHEAPER. SIGH.

So anyway we were running late so we went straight to board the plane afterwards and we were like one of the last few to go in cuz the waiting louge was totally empty LOL.
First time we're so late.
But still, the plane was delayed for like 15 minutes :(

We had to transit at Seoul and the flight was about 6 hours or so and I spent it reading the Kris Shopping guide thing and watching movies!
Re-watched The Tourist and I Am Number 4. Hahahaha sibeh bo liao I know.
Had lunch on the plane and take a look at the pictures of the clouds!!

Totally wished clouds were strong enough for us to like walk on them and fluffy enough to bounce on.
Totally dream-like~~~~~~~~

Transited for an hour at Seoul before boarding the same plane headed to San Francisco (SF).
Flight was for 10 hours and I barely slept for less than 2 hours.
Took pretty photos of the sunset!

This time round I watched so many more shows, How I Met Your Mother, The Vampire Diaries, How To Train Your Dragon, Little Fockers, The Mechanic......... MAD SPAM.
Good thing about planes is the free movies :)

Mad nuts cuz SF is 15 hours behind SG so I left SG on 15 May at 9.25am but after a (minimum) 17 hour flight (plus transit) I reached SF on 15 May, 12.45pm. LOL.
Longest day of my life!
I totally ate like 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 1 dinner. MAD FAT :'(

Reached SF (finally) and my aunt's friend, Uncle James, picked us up from the airport and brought us for lunch!

Had lunch at some Chinese restaurant and boy oh boy are the portions freaking huge.
Like their one person portion we need 3 people to eat??We had 6 people and we only ordered like Wonton noodle soup, Hor fun and Toufu with Brocolli.

We couldn't finish anything. LIKE REALLY. Barely even touched the hor fun you know -.-"
No wonder the people here are bigger sized than back in Singapore, Asia even.

Came back and my aunt had to repack her luggage and then off we went to Marshall's, Target and Costco.

(I don't know if you can see but the people were totally carrying their packet lunch in their hands and crossing the road to their office. MAD CUTE.)

Shopped at Marshall's (bought a bag and a wallet, no pictures yet shall do my shopping loot in one whole post at the end of the trip!) before heading to the Pizza Hut in Target for lunch.

Starbucks is SO MUCH CHEAPER here. But the coffee taste is so much stronger so it isn't that sweet.

Headed to Costco cuz Uncle James' wife was to pick us up from there at about 6.20pm and we had to do grocery shopping.
Apparently the food in Yosemite is mad expensive and not so nice so we bought mad loads of stuff to cook/eat! SHIOK.

(BTW we didn't buy the stuff in the first 3 pictures. Just wanted to show how hugeass the portions are here in the States.)

So afterwards Aunty Mei (Uncle James's wife) picked us up from Costco and sent us back to put the groceries into the hotel before driving us to the ABC Chinese restaurant where Uncle James' family gave us a "welcome to USA" treat haha.
Didn't take any pictures of the food but it was AWESOME.
Hahahha, headed back to the hotel while mum and my aunts went to get the car we rented cuz we're driving out to Yosemite National park tomorrow morning.

Hello everyone!

I'm so so so sorry for not blogging more often, been super super busy recently! Well, that and the fact that I don't have pictures with me, pictures are like with every one and no one is sending them to me/fb-ing them so please, if any one has pictures of me recently, kindly tag me in fb or something and I'll see if I have time to squeeze a post in?

But honestly I sincerely doubt so.

OK, wna know why I've been so damn freaking busy for the past 2 weeks or so?

I've been working Monday-Friday since last week which means I get home really late and wake up in time to crawl out of bed, wash up, put make up on and leave for work.

Then I get home so late and I'm so exhausted that mostly all I do is like remove make up, bathe and zonk off on the bed.
FREAKING NO LIFE I KNOW RIGHT.

And last weekend was my birthday weekend!!

I'm fucking 19 and I feel so damn old.

Got so damn wasted on Saturday (night of my celebration at ph) that I spent my whole birthday (Sunday) hungover.

Special thanks to Jiayan, Kailun, and of course, PEARLEEN for taking care of me that night. I'm sorry I was such bad company. No more flaming lambos for me, 2 is enough for the rest of my life tyvm.

Oh and thank you to Dawn for making it back in time for my birthday dinner :)

And Esther for meeting me after work at town!

And thank all of you for your well-wishes!

And anyway that sums up all the free time I've got that weekend and then this week started with work everyday and I tried to squeeze in time before and after work to do the lens thing which is so so so so draining and exhaustive.
I bow down to Dawn for being able to handle it, but I think it's cuz she has a laptop most of the time whereas I work at shitty places that have a computer but the internet access is restricted to Lancome websites.

Highlight of the week: I bought a hot pink luggage with mum! But it'll only be delivered to my house tomorrow morning, and I'm working tomorrow.

Which means I can only really start packing on Friday night.

And I'm leaving at like 6plus AM on Sunday morning.

AND my whole Saturday is booked up.

ARGH WTF. This is why I've been so damn stressed up.

I hate hate HATE being busy, I'm more of a lazy person who prefers to have things to do from time to time but not be like outright busy. So I really feel very stressed and have been relatively short-tempered recently so I hereby apologize to whoever I've been like nasty to.

Which reminds me, I really can't wait to leave sg. REALLY.

Ok as today is mask day, and I haven't bathed yet, AND I have work in the morning tomorrow, I shall end this post here.

Honestly, I've been beyond stressed out and I've been upset so much recently and I think that these are the reasons that have caused me to fall sick.
Like really REALLY sick.
I've got sore throat, cough, runny nose, headaches, chills like everything that you can possibly get.
Only good thing is that I didn't get cramps this time round, which is awesome.

Been chionging work to put it simply, even though I'm friggin' sick, I'll be working every day till next Thursday, with only Monday off.
And yes, even though today's Good Friday, I don't have the day off. That's the problem with working in the retail/service industry.
Weekends aren't the usual weekends to me. No TGIF to be honest. TGIFs only happen whenever I have an off day, and that usually isn't on a Friday.
My whole routine is upside-down.

I can't wait for my birthday celebration next month (WHO'S GOING???) even though I'll be working like mad on my free days in May before I leave for the States.
Oh did I mention? I'M GOING TO THE STATES FUCK YEAH.
Ok la I know I've mentioned it a few times already but still. It's the fucking States.

Owellz, really need to go bathe and sleep, working morning shift tomorrow! *slits wrist.

Even when I've neglected you both and haven't seen you all in months and months, you two patiently waited for me to find my way back. You accept me as a whole, my good points, and my flaws; especially my flaws.

How can I ever express just how much the both of you mean to me?

We've been through so fucking much, since 2007 till now and believe me, there is really a lot we've been through, especially when there's me in the picture. You two are like my two hands, you're always there. Hi. So I met the boy today and went to Simei ITE to pay his school fees.
Must say that it's mad unfair how the ITE campus is so much nicer than a JC's lorh! Wlaoooo :(

Ok so last Wednesday the boy and I went to buy hamsters together!
Been contemplating keeping hamsters for more than a month already and we finally decided to go just go ahead with the idea.

Headed to the Pet Safari at Nex and chose out all the items, the cage, bedding, food and of course, the hamsters themselves!

Went back to the boy's to get them settled in their cage and boy oh boy do they shit a lot.

I sincerely don't remember hamsters shitting so damn much. They peed and pooed in the carrier like free, no joke.

But they are so cute! Heeheehee.

Just look at them!! All squished up in the bowl, which was the first place they ran to when we placed them in their cage.
Mad fat and hungry. All they do is eat and shit, especially Pudding! (She's the female btw.)
She just stuffs food into her cheek pouch and runs some where else to eat.

And Almond (the male) runs around squeaking at the top of his voice just for the fun of it.

And then both of them got tired from all the eating and running and went into the house to sleep.

Hahahahha ok that's all for the hamsters part anyway.

So after that the boy and I got ready to club that night!! Omg hahahaha been so long since I've heard good music at clubs.
Don't like trance/techno and I certainly don't like ph's music on a Friday cuz it only gets good at like 1/2am??

Supposed to reach there about 10 to go in and drink first but the boy forgot to bring his Safra card so we ended up slacking at Vivo's sky garden while waiting for his friend to bring his card down.
Totally wasted like more than an hour lorh. Tsk tsk.

Met Kailun and his friends about 10 plus 11 and then drank and danced the night away.
Mad shiok to finally be able to let my hair down!

I've got a feeling that I'm going to be traveling a lot this year! Please oh please let me be able to go on all the trips that are planned! So far I'm only sure that I'll be heading to the US in May/June. Most likely going to Bintan with the boy's family. And hopefully, to BKK at the end of the year with the bbgs and the guys! Haven't been overseas in so long, dreaded going all along and suddenly, feeling so damn excited to be leaving Singapore! Oh my oh my.

But anyway, been planning/confirming my April roster and I hope I'm going to be working every single day that I'm available! Seeing the amount of trips I'm going to be on I really need to start saving up. Owellz. Had my break this month anyway, like worked only 10 days our of 31? LOL. Ultimate slacker.

But life's good cuz I've been spending almost every single day that I'm not working with the boy and I've been catching up on my reading! Feel so shiok like it's the June/December holidays for me. (Y)

Last Friday was spent at Zouk with the boy's friends. They ORD-ed and like usual, decided to commemorate the event by clubbing the night away. ... and tomorrow, every one will know how they fared. It's a pretty scary thought, cuz it isn't as simple as just getting the results of a mere examination. This holds the key to the future, and the efforts of the past 18 years of studying.

There are probably others out there who are pretty confident of themselves. And others who are totally freaking out. Which category do you belong to?

I belong to the latter. I know myself pretty well. I did not put my all into preparing for this examination. I regret not doing so, of course I do. But there's nothing else I can do at this moment of time but to pray and hope for the best. I really don't want to retain/study in a private school cuz it's such a waste of time and money.

On a happier note, I'll be able to see the clique tomorrow! Haven't seen any of them since forever, simply put. Wish me all the best!

So my bbg Pearleen turned 18 last Friday and like any newly-legal teenager, we all celebrated her birthday down at Powerhouse! Met up with Dawn first at PS for a light dinner before heading down to Butter (initial plan was to celebrate there) but stupidly, Butter on Fridays was for 21 and above so we cabbed down to Ph instead. Waited for P at the cinema in Vivo then headed down to the club together. D cabbed over at 1 and then we left together at 3 cuz I seriously buay tahan. Been working for the past 5 days and I still had work the next day. Kk, time for photos!

Ok I know that my blog's beyond dead but I'm sorry! Been busy with work and all these drama so much so that I'm too lazy to turn on the laptop to update anything. Ok so any way I've started work at Lancome (as y'all already know) and I guess so far so good? I've had my share of both nice and fucked up customers. Pretty tiring ending work at 10pm cuz it takes me about an hour to pack up and get from work to home which means I reach home at 11 plus at night. But ok la, the work isn't that demanding so I guess so far so good.

Cny's here and seriously there's no cny mood this year, no idea why! I don't think I'm the only one who's feeling this way, judging from the number of people complaining about it on twitter. But tomorrow's really going to test my patience cuz I've got work at 9.30am in the morning after which I've got to rush home to meet the family before going to my maternal grandma's place for reunion dinner. I'm going to be mad tired cuz I have to work the morning shift on sunday as well. See what I mean by it's really testing my patience? Oh and did I mention that I'm working at a totally new counter in a totally new departmental store from what I've been used to? Kill me.

Good thing is that the boy is finally going to ORD from army next wed!! Been looking forward to this moment for like 2 years?? No shit, mad excited to have him to myself for more than just weekends! Ok la I know we both have work and all but at least it'll be more flexible right?? Heh (Y)

Met up with both bbgs last night and I must say that it was a blast! I'm totally suffering from sore throat right now from all the laughing, no joke! So I met up with Dawn, and D for dinner before heading over to PS to meet up with Pearleen and C. Supposedly we were supposed to go to the Mind Cafe that was opposite Parklane but they didn't offer the promotion we wanted so we went down to Boat Quay instead. Bk joined us afterwards and we totally got addicted to Pictureka. Like wtf only cuz it's the stupidest game ever yet we were on the edges of our seats trying to find the pictures!

So I've finished my training at Lancome yesterday which means it's official! I'm gonna be working under Lancome and my two base counters are Isetan Parkway and Metro Paragon! Heh heh heh, any one works at these two places??? We can have lunch/dinner together (Y)

But mainly I wna vent here.

Today has been so so so frustrating for me. Woke up like 2 whole hours earlier than I wanted to cuz I think waking up during the past two days has got my body clock adjusted to waking up early, which sucks. Then, I spent the whole day at home watching MVP情人 which was good as well! (It was my favourite Taiwanese drama back when I was in primary school.)

But I was really looking forward to meeting the boy today. We barely spent any time together last week even though he booked out last Wednesday and only booked in on Sunday. Lo and behold, he booked out only at about 6-ish pm? He reached home like 15 mins ago (9.30pm-ish). I don't even know if we're meeting today cuz I was annoyed with how we've been quarreling for the whole day and told him not to bother coming over tonight.

Sigh. May seem nothing much to everyone else but it does matter to me. I need my weekly dose of hugs and kisses to make me feel better. Especially when the training was so intense with all the skin care and make up products.

To make matters worst, I'll be starting work soon and will be most likely working like 5/6 days a week? How am I going to be able to spend time with the boy?

No one understands just how shitty I'm feeling right now like totally feel like heading to bed just to sleep this nightmare of a day away. I didn't even get to drink gong cha to make me feel better.

Ok this is so unlike me to rant here. I haven't even blogged a proper post since like a year ago I think cuz every post is like a mini explanation for the photos that I posted. Sigh! Whatever. Shall just end here cuz I think this post is meaningless anyway.

Heeheehee so my bbg Dawn is finally 18 years of age!!!!!!!! Spent the day before her birthday over at her place getting ready before we met the guys and went to PS for dinner. Ajisen to satisfy our soupy cravings! Had gong cha afterwards and then took the train down to Powerhouse. Managed to get her in before 12 and we.had.a.blast. Simply put, it was the best cuz she was there with me! Another month till my other bbg Pearleen turns 18 and then all of us can go down together (Y)

Dawn and I were on the phone cuz she was bored during work and then suddenly we decided to meet up after her work and chiong-ed down to town to get my heels for work! Hahahahaah

I literally rushed to bathe, change, choose clothes, everything in 20 minutes ok!!!
First time I left the house with wet hair, sweets you should be honoured!

Got my work heels at FEP and then we walked around Orchard Road before going to Cineleisure for dinner and then to 313@Somerset cuz I wanted to go to Forever 21!
Bought a pair of heels on impulse, really.

Matching ones with Dawn where hers is grey and mine in black.

Sigh, I told her my first month's pay cheque is going to her seriously.

Oh well! Can't wait to see her again next week!!!

Exco chalet 2011

Disappeared for a few days to the Exco chalet @ Coasta Sands. I'm glad to say that despite all the slashing cases, nothing bad happened! Heh heh that's good right. Met Esther at E hub before heading over to the chalet. BBQ was on the first night! Headed to E hub afterwards to catch the Tourist. I thought it was pretty good! Slept with till the next morning hahahahahha, first time I've ever gotten like 6 hours of undisturbed sleep in my life at a chalet???? Spent the whole of the second day at E hub and then to White Sands for dinner. Night walked/cycled to Changi Village cuz we only had 4 bikes but we had 8 people. It took 2 hours but it was good! Cabbed back and then I slept while the rest played bridge. Hahahahha I'm seriously the world's biggest pig.

Firstly I want to say Happy 2011 to everyone!!

It's a brand new year, another brand new start.

I spent my countdown with Pearleen, C and D at the Marina Bay.

Camped at some bridge for over 30 mins and at the Helix Bridge for another 1 hour before we finally saw our fireworks! Heh heh heh.

Been catching the New Year fireworks for like 3 years running.

The 10 mins worth of fireworks is worth the 2/3 hours of waiting!

I've never actually blogged out a post dedicated to the little ones who make staying at home less of a chore and more of an enjoyment.

Here are my babies, the cats that make everything look much better just because of their simple way of doing things.

I heard the little ones making noises outside in the garden so armed with a camera, I decided to head out and take pictures of them!

If you didn't already know, my home has housed a few cats over the past 1/2 years and so far, the same mother cat has been bringing all her litters of kittens over to my house.

Every batch has exactly 4 kittens but not all of them decide to stay here.
From the 1st batch, 1 stayed, the 2nd, 2, none of the 3rd batch stayed but this new litter of kittens, all 4 of them are still around. We'll see how many eventually stay.

Yay! Pearleen Tan is finally back in SG after like a month or so??

I don't know how she can manage to fly from China back to SG and get on the plane to The Philippines in like a few hours. If I were her, I would have died.

Christmas this year wasn't anything special but it's the little things that made it worth while :)

So I spent the Christmas countdown with D in the bus on our way to my place, heh heh heh.

Stayed up to watch 200 pound beauty on the tv and I must say it made me cry, mehzzz.

Dragged myself out of bed the next day for Crystal Jade with my family! I don't know why I bother to do so every year cuz I don't even like the food there but mum said it is like The Gathering, yes with capital letters so I have to go.

Went to D's afterwards before heading to chomps to meeting my sweets! Dawn!

Initial idea was to head to Marina Barrage but it rained earlier on and there were dark clouds in the sky so we changed our plans.

Managed to order our food, finish eating and got to the bus stop before it rained. Awesome not!

Headed to Nex to walk around and I swear Dawn and I are seriously the best at getting distracted by shops lorh.

She wanted to go get her bubble tea and we detoured for like 1 hour or so cuz we kept seeing different shops that we wanted to go into before we remembered that she wanted bbt. WIN.

So my parents have been overseas since last Wednesday and only came back like today so D and I practically stayed over at my place for the whole of the weekend which was good.

I got him addicted onto the Vampire Diaries and he agrees with me that Nina Dobrev is awesomely hot. Who won't agree anyway.

He brought me out to Fish&Co. last Friday to feed my poor stomach before we caught Harry Potter.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT HALF OF THE 7TH SHOW, CAN YOU??

Saturday was spent with my brother walking around Ion and Nex hell yeah, Nex is final-fucking-ly open and it's right where I stay at fuck yeah.

Happy 23rd monthsary baby boy!

It's been the best 23 months of my life and honestly, despite all the quarrels we've had, all the tears we've shed, all the moments spent apart, all the cold wars and whatnot, I must still stand by the fact that you're the one choice that I made correctly. Entering your life was by accident, but staying here, was indeed my choice. I could've some one much better than you, but so what? I only want you, it's really that simple.

I read a quote somewhere that said of how if you quarrel everyday, and yet you're still together, that's love. I think it describes the both of us really accurately. We've had a million quarrels and yet I can never bear to spend a moment apart from you even though you may make me so upset and pissed off at times. It's like you're a drug that I try so hard to stop taking, but deep inside, I already know that I'm addicted for life. No matter, I still love you and I would rather spend a day quarreling with you than all eternity not knowing you.

I guess what I really wanna say is to thank you for giving me the best 23 months of my life. You're the only one I want and need, love you!

Life's been a constant struggle with the need to study and the want to play. The more I deprive myself from something, the more the pull of it. So I met D today and I managed to spend almost the whole day with him. Went to Tampines to meet him before we headed down to Airport just to eat Popeyes. Am glad that I finally got to eat my mashed potato! There were 2 television sets showing Tom and Jerry and this silly boy kept his eyes glued onto the screens. Why he's so fascinated by Tom chasing after Jerry, I'll never know. After all, Tom has chased Jerry for over 20 years and he STILL HASN'T CAUGHT JERRY YET. So I doubt he actually will one day. Headed back to Hougang to satisfy his want to drive his car then back to his place afterwards.

Dawn then decided to ask me to her family gathering so she came over to find me, then accompanied me home before heading over to her place. I'm glad that we had 5 solid hours of catching up. I know many of you have read this before, but I just feel the need to share this.

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that every day for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door every morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife's divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind... I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.
My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push through with the divorce. At least, in the eyes of our son, I'm a loving husband....

Just went through a 6/7 hour study session with dawn and I must honestly admit that I do my best studying whenever I'm with her. Like who else can just sit there with me for this many hours without complaining? After dinner we were talking at the bus stop while waiting for our buses to come when it really struck me just how far our friendship has come.

I'll honestly admit that I didn't have a really great first impression of her. Kind of found it weird how a junior came to tag on my blog for no reason, especially when I had no idea who she was. My second impression was the fact that she had a really short skirt back then in XMS. Lol. Totally horrid impressions right? But I'm really ghlad that she had that chalet back then in 2007 and that surprisingly, she invited me to go, even when were not that close to begin with. Through that chalet, I knew both dawn and pearleen better and I guess that pretty much sums up with the "How did we meet" part.

Then comes along some problems I had in secondary 3 and I turned to the both of them. They were the best listening ears I can ever ask for. And that incident pretty much cemented the friendship to be what it is today. It's been 3 years and 2 months, to the exact date and I'm glad that this friendship is as strong as before, even given our clashing schedules, different curriculum, and different commitments. We may not be meeting up as frequent as before, but I know that they are the two people I can always count on to have my back. You know some people find out that they have no one who can turn to whenever some thing happens? Mine's the exact opposite.

I'm honestly glad that after all the incidents that ever threaten our friendship posed as a catalyst to strengthen it instead. After 3 years, I'm proud to say that we've never even have a single quarrel. Thank you God for giving me this two sisters that more or less are the reasons for me still be sane. Haha. I love you both very much ok!

I don't really know how to express how the past 2 weeks have been for me but I just know that I wanna thank all those people who have been there in one way or another for me. Like really, even hearing me rant has helped relieved some pressure on me. I guess you don't really know how many people are really there for you until some thing really happens. I'm just glad that instead of finding out that no one's there, I found every one. I thank each and every one of you for whatever you've done for me. Just too many names to name but I'll never forget any of you ok!

Don't wanna go into the details of what happened cuz every one who matters to me already knows what happened anyway. I'm glad I pulled through with everyone's help and God's of course.

Gonna start studying from now on and stop screwing up my A levels just because I'm feeling upset. There's not much time left but I think there's just enough to make a difference. I'll to try to keep this blog more updated but no promises because I've really got to buck up and start studying already.
